My 1-70 green mountain barrel is not powder shy. Don't be scared to put some powder down there. My .58 takes 100-110 grains and my .50 takes 100 grains of 3f Goex under a ball with amazing accuracy. Keep us posted. My old Renegade is easy 90 grains Goex 2f, patched ball = dead deer.
