For me, I think the bottom linewould beto find the lightest load that can be expected to achieve a passthrough from a broadside hitat the longest range I can reasonably expect to shoot with enough accuracy to find the vitals of the game I'm hunting.

Problem is, how do we determine the Mass/Velocity combo needed to achieve the passthrough? Hundreds of tests on roadkill?

There could be money in coming up with a "synthetic" whitetail!

one time just for kicks and giggles i put up a watermellon then a pine 4x4 then another watermellon and shot it with my 7mm. I figure if it can pass through that it can pass through a deers shoulders.
