My deer season opens on Saturday the 14th. How about your season? What will you be out there with? I will be out there with my T/C 54cal Renegade using 100gr Goex FFG and a 425gr Hornady Great Plains or a .530 PRB. Not sure what to use. Both shoot good. Any advise?

Elk and deer season opened today on the Palouse, it is rifle season but no matter me and ML were out there this morning.... Saw 16 head of elk and two deer, not shooting deer yet - elk hunting. The first group of elk I jumped - no bulls all cows and calves - second group could not get a good shot at the bull, rifle would not have helped.

Our season (Eastern NC) started last Saturday. I didn't go; wife lost baby that was six months along, and was in hospital. Hard week.

I'll prob go next week.

Ohio special early season starts October 23rd.

Here in MO first weekend in December after rifle season in November. I use my ML for both seasons. Bow season since Sept 15.

Minnesota Muzzleloader start November 25th but if you like you can use it during the rifle/shotgun season and that's November 4th.

Here in Iowa, early ML Oct. 14-22.
Used to be you couldn't hunt early ML and Shotgun season in December, but the rule changed this year.
But, we can't hunt early ML and late ML, which is 12/18-01/10. So I and my son will be out 2nd Shotgun Season the second week of December, then late ML, I with a Knight Disc Extreme and my son with a Knight Wolverine 209. I like the 3 1/2 week long late ML season.
My son tagged his first during youth season three weeks ago (870 20ga), and we each have two tags left for the next two seasons.
