You should be fine if your sidelocks are not of the drum variety. Once in a while, try to do a wiggle with your nipple to check for slop. Also inspect the nipple threads -- or better-yet... change the nipple periodically - if you continue this priming underneath the nipplepractice. It defintely adds pressure at that junction. Doing it with a sidelock that doesn't have the drum helps. I've known of a few blown drums in my days reading messageboard replies. Some cases have produced some nasty burns. One guy said he was picking powder granules out of his skin formonths. Ouchee-Wowchee![:-] |

ORIGINAL: Triple Se7en That's what seems to be the best ticket tocombat the crud ring. I sincerely believe that T/C Inc doesn't even know why you have a severe case of it. They are shopping for answers to this day -- even read & use some of the suggestions we post on boards like this one. |

RE: How is this....
ORIGINAL: cascadedad 1)Where did the powder granules come from? 2)Wouldn't they burn up? 2)Not all ignite. Out shooting when it's 0-30 degrees and precipitation abound? Check the snow in front of your muzzle for proof after firing. |
RE: How is this....
What do you mean by the "drum variety". FYI, I shoot a 54 cal T/C renegade.

RE: How is this....
Doesn't apply to yours or mine T/C Renegades.
It is commonly found on Traditions and CVA sidelocks. |
