Default 200 yd groups.

What kind of groups are you guys pulling off at 200 yds.? Just wondering if my 6" wide and 3" high 5 shot group is preaty good. And it was my first 200 group I've ever done.

I'm shooting T7 100 gr pellets and a shockwave 250 bullet.

Under 4" I'd call a good group. Pellets don't really allow you to get the most accuracy out of your muzzleloader. That would be a good open sight group, though

TC Omega in full hardwoods 50 Cal. Scope is a 3-9x40 Banner. Also, this is my first time shooting a group at 200 yds.

That aint a bad group will definately kill deer, you should be able to tighten it upmore but for your first time it aint bad. I don't know what this rem 700 is talking about with 5-6 inch groups withopen sights with a muzzleloader from 200 yds.I don't think many can do that.

I am shooting a TC Omega 50 Cal with a 3x9x40 Leupold scope,using 150 G Pyrodex R/S loose powder and a 250 G Hornady SST bullet.
3.5 Hi at 100 Yds and 7.5 low at 200 Yds, Range tested not just gessing !!!. This gun will hold a2 inch group if I do my part. Try playing with the loose powder and a heavier load and see what You come up with. The TC were made to shoot 150Gr loads. just look at the new scopes from Nikon with the built in bullet drop comp circles, all set up for the 150G loads.
Just my 2 sents, there I go again thinking of hunting,
Tinks and Golden Estrous maybee 3 sents Trails End.
Deer hunting is an obsession.

IF you can get it down to 3" X3", that'd be pretty good. The fact that it is wider than it is high may be due to wind drift, which affects ML projectiles a lot more than modern rifle bullets. Try it again on a calm day, if posible. I'll bet your groups will be smaller then..
