RE: Too HIgh
Try taking the scope off and rotate the rings 180 degrees and reinstall the scope. I had the same problem with one of my guns with scope and this did the trick.

RE: Too High
ORIGINAL: cataway IMHO forget about that kind of ring and get the scope as close to the gun as you can. but if you have to have it you will need to shim one end of the scope up, and if memory servers it will have to be the front ring that will need the shim.if it dont work it goes in the back ring As regards shimming, if the rifle is shooting too high, the shim needs to be placed on the bottom of the front ring, so that the scope center will point higher in relation to the spot on the target where the bullets are hitting. This makes you have to depress the muzzle some to get the reticle on the point of impact, thus lowering where the bullet srikes. A small group, however, is the mostimportant thing because you can move it to anyplace you want it on the target by fiddling with the scope adjustments and mount setup. |
RE: Too HIgh
ORIGINAL: Mike Hill Thanks guys I just took the scope off and mounted it with low scope rings. I didn't have to remove the rear sight but theres like 1/16 of an inch between the scope and the rear sight. it takes up about 1/4 of the way up the glass but I can't see it when I look through the scope. I don't think it will hurt anything do you? No, as long as the sight is not touching the scope, there will be no problem...... |
