My friend brought his son over to my range this monthwith his new Traditions. I checked the rifle over and before they even shot the thing I told them the trigger was terrible and the rifle should be sent to Traditions for adjustment. They shot it anyway. After their range session they decided the trigger was terrible and it needed to be sent back.

My CVA Stalker Carbine came to me with a trigger pull of over 12 pounds. It was returned and came back under 3 pounds. It then turned into a go off when ever it felt like it. I sent one round down range with 80 grains and a maxiball and never touched so much as the trigger guard when it went off on its own. It was returned again, and this time I think they got it right.

You might get a good trigger or a bad trigger. You will never know until you get the rifle...

I have two of those things, both Lightning Liteweights, a .45 and a .50.

Both have triggers that are easily adjustable by anyone who has ever adjusted a Remington M721-722-700 trigger. Just seal the screws back up with nail polish or Loctite after you get them adjusted, and they are as good a trigger as any single-stage I've ever used, and will stay put. I know nothing about the triggers on their recent designs.

i had an issue with my traditions kentucky with the lock but it wasnt a real problem. The set screw for trigger pressure would back out and leave me with a stiff trigger. I took the screw out and used a little anti seeze tape and put it back in and worked like a charm.

The Pursuit LT triggers are not easily adjustable. I got one of the real bad ones that had about a 25 pound trigger. I pulled it twice and my finger was so sore I could not do a third one. I took it apart and got it to about a seven pound trigger but it was still pretty rough. Personally I would not buy another Traditions rifle as the quality ranger from fair to awful based on the three I have had direct contact with. Maybe they are better now but I will never know. My NEF trigger is just great.
