Anyone here who hunts deer with muzzleloaders?I hunt them with the 40 caliber my dad made for me. (I'll try to get the picture later this month or next.)

You're subject asks who hunts with "muskets"...then your text talks about a .40cal muzzleloader...I hunt with muzzleloaders, but not military musket muzzleloaders.

I hunt a few days a year with asmoothbore .62 caliber rifle but I am not sure you would classify that as a musket. It has rifle sights, but no rifling in the barrel. Out to 40 yards you're in business.
