After rereading my post, it might have been misinterpreted as being directed at Gordo. If so, let me clear that up. It was not directed at Gordo, but at those who, when they hear the word Savage mentioned, grab their crosses and garlic necklaces to ward off the evil new gun.

Question 1-shot,I talked to you several times when I was trying to get my savage to shoot,Gordo asked about his barrel being tight the top 1/3 of his barrel, come to think of it mine was too extremely tight the first 1/3 and after that the bullet would slide very easy on down the barrel.I am curious to know if that is the way it is susposed to be.
I have had some rifles that the bullet was very tight about 4 to 6 inches down the barrel and after that it went on down a little easier but not as easy as the savage.
Can you enlighten me and possible some one else might want to know, how this is susposed to be??

Herman, mine is not like that! It starts easy enough, but after it gets just below flush, it is all the factory ramrod will do to seat the bullet! Perhaps that was your problem all along?

As TNHunter says, that could very well have been the problem all along. All 7 of my 10ML's and 10ML-II's are tight all the way down the bore.

Thanks 1-shot,I have been thinking of trying the ML 10-11,so if I do I am going to take a bullet with me and see how it goes down the barrel before I buy it.I really liked the gun but it wouldn't shoot the smokless, but it shot 1-hole groups with the cleanshot, but That wasn't what I bought it for ,I wanted to shoot the smokless.I have 2 other guns that shoot one hole groups when everything is right with the black powder substitute. And others that don't shoot as well.
1-shot in your opionon which is the best, the ML-10 or the ML-10-11.Does the ml 11 leave the chamber cleaner than the ml10 since the primer goes in without the holder??
