Pics of your Rifle and Gear
I know it has been a while since the last thread like this so if please post pics or your Muzzleloader(s) and gear. Feel free to post some or your favorite loads with your rifle(s) or tell a little about it if you like. I don't have a pic my muzzleloader or gear but I will get a pic of both together. Here is a pic of a rifle I would like to get this fall though. It is a Rocky Mountain Hawkens rifle by Pedersoli... 54cal roundball twist (1-65").

RE: Pics of your Rifle and Gear
Cayugad-The scope is a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5 power shotgun scope. It'll have to do until I can afford an upgrade (not anytime soon). Right now, my best shooting is 1.5" groups @ 100yds w/250gr shockwaves and 80grains FFFG triple 7. It also likes 250grain Hornady XTP's. I've gotten mediocre results with Winchester Platinum tips and 295 grain Powerbelts. Haven't tried anything from Barnes, yet. Testing is still ongoing, though. I don't think I've even stared to tap into this guns potential yet.;)

At 100 yards all three shots formed a clover leaf. I've never repeated that group but came close a few times. My rifle also shoots the 250 grain shockwaves with 110 grains of loose Triple Se7en 2f excellent. Actually my Thompson Center will shoot about anything I stuff down it. They really are a great rifle. |
