Coondog,
No flame here, but just an observation. Have you ever paid attention to bowhunters and the traditional/modern debates and associated animosities? I went to an inline, not for more killing power (as my sidelock is very deadly and has taken a bunch of deer), but for more portability and lighter weight. Nevertheless, I see your points and respect your opinions. I, personally, would rather see primitive arms seasons be more primitive. But, things are as they are ... guess I am taking advantage ... <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

My preferance is for traditional sidelocks and hunted most of my college years with only a 50 cal hawken as it was the only rifle
I owned! I used that gun right up untill last year when I switched
to an inline. Not because the hawken was ineffective but because
failing vision is forcing be to become a scope user! There was
no way I was going to ruin the traditional flavor of the hawken
by mounting a scope on it! In all honesty I find the inline to be
a big PIA!!! The side lock is eaiser to clean and just as quick to reload, the only upside to thr inline (besides the scope)is it's weight!
