My preferance is for traditional sidelocks and hunted most of my college years with only a 50 cal hawken as it was the only rifle
I owned! I used that gun right up untill last year when I switched
to an inline. Not because the hawken was ineffective but because
failing vision is forcing be to become a scope user! There was
no way I was going to ruin the traditional flavor of the hawken
by mounting a scope on it! In all honesty I find the inline to be
a big PIA!!! The side lock is eaiser to clean and just as quick to reload, the only upside to thr inline (besides the scope)is it's weight!
