Follow Alleyoopers advice...
I just spent the weekend with many of the individuals from that board and they are some of the most knowlegable folks I know when it comes to the subject of modern muzzleloading.
I persaonally own the Laminate so I can not speak about the Synthetic..

I have one ss with cameo stock and one blue with black stock and both shoot very good. The cameo has the recoil lug bedded, the black has nothing done to it.I never mess with the foreend screw to clean just take the bolt out to get the breech plug out.I like the tupper stocks because they are lighter.
Would suggest when you first get one that you give it a 200 stroke cleaning with JB's.

Thanks guys.
Herman why JB without shooting first? Rough bore or what has been your experience?
I like thelb shed with the tupperware as well but I also like the laminate's balance..oh the joys of decisions.

Skeeter, for the last several years I have been giving all new rifles a jb treatment and don't worry about breaking one in.I think for one thing it gets the barrel very clean to start working up loads for. This is just my way of doing it.
The first of the year a fellow wanted me to set up a savage muzzleloader for him and work-up a load,I told him to do the jb before he brought it to me and he said he did, went to the range and it wouldn't group even with my favorite load, took it back home and did the jb's my self when I went back to the range it started shooting good,in no time I had it shoot a little less than an inch group at 100 using my favorite load.
When my 2 start shooting bad I do a 50 or 100 stroke with jb's and it gets back to shooting normal.
You could probably ask 100 people if it helps 50 would probably say it helps and 50 would probably say it doesn't.But in my mind it works for me.
A friend of mine just bought a laminated stock model,he has been so excited in how good it shoots he hasn't even let me shoot it yet.I am sure you will like which ever model you choose.

Thanks Herman. I usually only JB when I notice a rough bore, burrs upon doing my pre shooting cleaning on factory barrel.
I put a hold on the SS/Black, my dealer said savage rep. told him they are expecting some 10II's in a week or so here in Canada. He said if their was a laminate he'd pull it for my dealer. So in holding mode at the moment.
thanks again for the info

I have been shooting 41.5 gr vv n-110 w-250gr/sst's/sw's/bonded sw's/and xtp's all with good results.
Here is a pic of a load a friend shot from my gun this weekend..first time with this load, 5 shots, and the barrel was much warmer than I would have shot, 88yds. (you can guess which shot was #5...sooner or later a hot barrel will always catch up, but for a load that was untested in my gun, I was impressed)
