RE: Savage 10II Owners
Skeeter, for the last several years I have been giving all new rifles a jb treatment and don't worry about breaking one in.I think for one thing it gets the barrel very clean to start working up loads for. This is just my way of doing it.
The first of the year a fellow wanted me to set up a savage muzzleloader for him and work-up a load,I told him to do the jb before he brought it to me and he said he did, went to the range and it wouldn't group even with my favorite load, took it back home and did the jb's my self when I went back to the range it started shooting good,in no time I had it shoot a little less than an inch group at 100 using my favorite load.
When my 2 start shooting bad I do a 50 or 100 stroke with jb's and it gets back to shooting normal.
You could probably ask 100 people if it helps 50 would probably say it helps and 50 would probably say it doesn't.But in my mind it works for me.
A friend of mine just bought a laminated stock model,he has been so excited in how good it shoots he hasn't even let me shoot it yet.I am sure you will like which ever model you choose.
