Well I got time to do some shooting. I took my Omega and a NEF Handi Rifle, 308, I won it. The 308 shoots quite good but my Omega shoots better. I shot both 250 gr and 300 gr Shockwaves. My Omega is starting to loosen up ( about 250 shots now) , The Shockwaves all loaded much easier now. My gun definately likes the heaver bullets better. I used 110 grs of 777 with the 250s and 120 grs with the 300. I recovered quite a few of them from the sand and some looked pretty good and others showed complete seperation from the jacket.
I also shot about a dozen Barnes TMZs, 290 gr. I got to shoot from 50 yds and 100 yds, measured by laser range finder. I was able to get about 1 1/4 inch groups at 50 yds and about 2 inch at 100, not great but there was a fairly stiff breeze. ( at least thats my excuse).
I recovered eight of the TMZs out of the sand. GREAT performance! All of them expanded perfectly, full mushroom of the petals. I weighed them and they ranged from 289.4 grs to 290 grs. If they perform this well on game they should be great for anything from deer to elk and bear.

Sounds like you had a good day of shooting. You
stated some of the recovered bullets were separated?
Were these the shockwaves or what? My Omega
is different from most it just doesn't like the shock-
waves. But my bore is really tight so I use the .451
Harvester sabots. The bullet that does the best for
me is the 300gr. Hornady XTP-mag. I shoot 100gr. of
APP in stick form ;Rem. Kleenbore 209; I have shot
this with 150gr. of APP, but have not seen any
separation. Keep us posted on any further testing.
