Default Called Traditions the other day........

I called Traditions the other day to ask a question and the first thing I heard was for Remington press #, for Traditions press #. LOL!!! What a hoot. I politelygave the technical people my 2 cents about the new Genesis after I had got my answer to my question. I told them their idea on their new Yukon seemed good but how the Remington was not the best idea in the world. A scope couldnt be mounted low and would require special bases or rings to get it high enough for access to the breech. The lady didnt say much about it. I guess someone didnt think this design through very well and I think Remingtons sales will suffer, dont you. I didnt tell her that though. Maybe Remington is hoping the open sighted crowd will buy it.

Gotta tell you, I would have purchased the new Rem if I felt I could have a gotten a scope on it correctly... And I would have purchased a Yukon if I could have gotten a stainless barrel...

I ended up with an Omega - which is probably a better gun anyway...

I like Tradition rifles. I like the Yukon too. I would want stainless also. I didnt meen I didnt like them at all, just the design of the remington. I have tradition muzzleloaders and they all shoot well. I like the evolutions that had the stainless fluted barrels with removable muzzlebrake. They are accurate as I can shoot.

I was not suggesting that you did not like 'em. I was really excited about getting one of the new Rems, I have 2 700ML's, that I am extremy fond of and I thought the new SS Rem would be right up my alley, but the flip breech and the pssible interference with the scope turned me off. I looked at the Yukon next - but I could not or did not see where that was offered with a SS barrel. So I eneded up with an Omega.

If you get one of those Yukons I surely would like to hear some reports from a normal person - I assume you are normal... not a hunting equipmentwriter or something like that.... Just a hnter shooter like myself - gees I am digging a hole - so I will quit...
