I called T/C today and explained to the tech the problem I had with the Shock Waves in my Omega. He took my address and said he was sending some sabots for me to try. I can't complaim about that.

I think Cayugad has hit the nail on the head with his reasoning why more folks will be getting into a more traditional style of muzzeloading. Inlines are getting too good to be put into the BP nitch, there will probably be restrictions in most states as they realize the accuracy and power of themodern MLfirearms but once you have tried one most folks will be hooked.

Many of you know from my posts my Omega is my only ML at the moment, but I have learned to enjoy it so much I am looking into the more traditional market.

I want a Pennsylvania or Kentuckytype long rifle to shoot roundball, preferably a 54 Cal. I have been gaining more and more curiosity about this line of shooting and hope to join one of several clubs in my area that gather monthly or everyother month for a BP Shoot.

Throw in a camp site and it really sounds like good times to me, can we say Rendevous?I was a Scout leader for two boys going through Cub and Boy Scouts so I can see where this is leading...in 10 years I am gonna be one of those guys in all Buckskins, Beads, and Mocassins.

Sorry back to the post at hand, my only two dealings with TC have both been positive. I think Italked toregular customer support once and the folks atFoxridge once also.

Mike, the problem was that the 50/250 gr. S.W.'s were very difficult to ram down the barrel. I think they packed the wrong sabots. I was using 2 50 gr. 777 pellets and after the first shot it was near impossible to reload.

You could have gotten some of that batch they mixed up some time back.
I think some people are confusing TC and Foxridge I believe Foxridge is a seperate co. that does custom work for and incooperation with TC and as far as I know their tech severice has never had a problem like TC's.Lee

i go to range and at times, i am only one with a flintlock.the pgc started this stupid early muzzleloader season to wipe deer out and the in-lines sales here exploded in pa.so, most got their deer before the regular muzzleloader season comes. i was out in flintlock season and only saw 2 hunters.in the EARLY muzzleloader season where you can use a in-line, i saw hundreds of hunters.you would not believe the number of in-lines sold last year and this year too.young kids look at me like i am some fossil from the dark ages with my shiny brass hawkins.they snicker and comment, does that old gun even shoot, ha.they dont care 1 bit about sport of hunting or having challenge of a flintlock.all you here is, boy, i cant wait to get my doe. anyway, i have good experience with t/c. i called them today on a barrel i sent in to be blued over month ago. they said they have not got to it yet.you think things are bad there, try calling BROWNING OR BERETTA.it will get you pissed real fast.do to reasons you all mentioned here and lack of workers today in all industrys, you are going to see more of this. i was on hold for 15 minutes with my gun shop today.they are so busy, its unreal. he said, sproul, i cant handle all phone calls.there used to be 3 people there ,now just him. unions used to make management hire more workers, now you dont have unions to put more people to work,so, they cut workersand double the work on ones that are left. something wil have to fail and it usually does in way of customer service.i see it getting a lot worst in future.

I have not had a lot of contact with T/C tech.
support. But when I did contact them regarding
scope type & mounting options, I was very
pleased with the answers they gave me. But if
they are like many other businesses "where I
work"included they will not worry about the
mule just keep loading the wagon
Just my 2-cents.

I know! I Know!, They are fine with the simple stuff but asking questions about a rifle they built ten or so years back is where I have run into problems.

I had the same Shockwave sabot problem and praised them on this site as to how fast they fixed it and made it right.

For what it is worth Foxridge IS the same company just a building off to the left a little bit it is their store front. I know I have been there many times.

It is a great outfitting store but is not a real custom shop. The custom stuff is built by T/C not them. We are talking marketing 101 dudes.
