Went to the range yesterday, boy was it windy! I had to shoot it. The groups are ok, I was using my benchrest rifle rest and the k2000 has a curvy forearm and didn't want to rest well in it. I was shooting t7 as the pic says and the 90gr. of powder did the best. I think the 100gr. shots would have been better if I had used my sanbags.I have alot more tinkering to do. I did a spit patch in between shots. It lasted about 9 rounds before it got reallly fouled. This gun handles very sweet. I have alot of other sabots to try and bought some Nosler Partitions today. Going back to range hopefully Saturday with my sandbags. By the way Cayugad, I used your 50/50 windex and alcohol to clean with, done great!!!

that is some good shooting ... especially for a windy day. People do not realize the effect wind has on some of these projectiles. It will only get better...

glad the solution worked for you.

I think the groups will tighten up when I use the sandbags, I could not get a good steady hold in my mechanical rest. This is the first time that I have used T7. How many shots do you take with just using aspit patch between shots?

With my Knight Wolverine LK-II I have had range sessions of 40 shots with just spit patching. With my Black Diamond XR I have to break the striker down after about 15-20 shots and wipe the rifle out real well or the striker gets all fowled. On the Disc I have shot 15 rounds and then I like to break that down too and clean out the bolt area a little.

As long as your rifle will fire and you can seat the projectiles, technically you can shoot until your tired. Triple Se7en is a clean burning powder. If you're not getting a hard crud build up, you have it made. Just keep shooting..

I just bought a new Dead Shot rest by Caldwell and I really like it a lot. Although I have to make some modifications to my platform in the spring..

Here are some results from the range today. I shot 300 and 250sst's using a mmp hph24 sabot. The 300's group the best!! I tried the Nosler 300 partitions and it did not like them. I'll try them in my Omega. Not too bad.

I have just built a site for Kahnke Gunworks. It's kahnkegunworks.com.I see you guys are interested in his guns. He makes only Muzzle Loader rifles and pistols. I need to get him to sit down with me and write some spec on his guns. Anyhow he does have a site up again. If you can think of any improvements I can make let me know. My email is [email protected]

Thanks
