Help with bullet
#11
Wow guys a lot of food for thought. Thank you all very much! This is why I love this web sight so much there are always people there to help youwith any question. I do belong to a couple gun clubs but as a correction officer I don't get week-ends off and my shift is 3-11 so there is never any one at the range when I go. Which is good for shooting but not good if I have a question. Anyway thanks a million again Mike

Mike I just bought a new Omega, and I'm having some
trouble loading the bullet sabot that I want to. You
might want to look at the the post from cayagud
about barrel preparation with J-B bore paste. Also
there are those on this sight, who have a wealth
of information, and will help you in any way they can.
sabotloader is a very good..no excellent, source of
information. Keep us posted on your results so all us
Omega shooters can benefit from your tests.

I GOT A 50 CAL Z5,I USE 150 GRS OF LOOSE 777, I KNOW THATS MORE THAN WHAT ISCALLED FOR,A CCI PRIMER, A BLACK MMP MAG SABOT .451-.452, NEVER TRIED THE 452 BULLET ,I USE A 45 CAL..451 DIA. 230GR. XTP HP.BULLET .I HAVE TOOK ALL MY DEER WITH THIS LOADTHIS YEAR ANDLAST SEASON THE ONLY DIFFERANCE LASTYEAR I WAS USING MY MK85 WITH A 120GRS. OF 777 AND A 300GR SPEAR PLATED SOFTPOINT,WHERE I HUNT I SOMETIMES GET SHOTS AT BIG HOGS THAT WAS THE REASON FOR THE 300 GR BULLETS. I BUY THE BULLETS AND THE SABOTS IN BLUCK FOR LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT YOU GET AT THE STORE. THE OMEGA TAKES SOME SHOOTING TO BREAK THEM IN RIGHT,I USE FULL METAL JACKETS 230 GR FOR TARGET SHOOTING,THEY HIT THE SAME PLACE THE HOLLOW POINTS HIT. THEY ARE HARD TO LOAD IN A TREE STAND BUT YOU CAN DO IT. JUST TAKE SOMETHING LIKE YOUR GLOVES FOR A PALM SAVER AND PUSH IT TILL YOU HIT BOTTOM. WITH A GOOD PALM SAVER YOU CAN GO RIGHT PAST THE CRUD RING,I HAVE GOT UP TO6 GOOD SHOTS AT TARGETS OUT TO 250 YARDS. AND WHEN YOU HIT MEAT AT THAT SPEED WITH A HOLLOWPOINT YOU GET DEAD CRITTERS .

300 grain shockwaves...100 grain of 777..deadly. Make sure you you clean your barrel after every shooting session, and then use bore butter. I can shoot 4 shots before it starts becoming hard to load. The bore butter seasons your barrel. I have tried to use seom hornady's with no luck at all. What is the deal with the new bonded shockwaves?
