Scope mount and rings ?? for Omega
I have decided to purchase a Sightron IScope for my Omega in the near future.
My question is
What rings and mounts are recomended for this gun and scope?
I do want the ability to use my open sights as well.
Any input is appreciated

SIDEWAYS,
IMO the Leupold Quick Release rings and base is the way to go If you decide you want to use the sights that came with the rifle you can easily take the scope off. It works great for cleaning the rifle also. Once done cleaning the scope mounts back on base easily and your zero point is retained.
I do not like see thru rings, they mount the scope to high and you have to take your cheek off the stock to see through the scope on some of them....depending on your rifle stock.

Several posts on this board dealing with this issue. Use the search function to find them.
I have the Talley one-piece mounts and rings. If you want the best this is it. The entire mount and bottom half of the scope ring is machined from one solid piece of alumunum alloy. Two torx screws attach each side of the top rings to the bottom rings. It is super strong, stable, custom made for the encore and omega, and looks great as well. The fit and finish is top notch. The price is resonable too - $50.00 from Talley shipped direct to your door in 3-4 days.

Leupold QR Base and Rings. Absolutely the best base and rings I have ever used. I have the QR onseveral rifles including two omega's. They really do return to zero when taking the scope off and on. I always pull the scopes when cleaning and they are right on every time. I don't even bother to re-check zero.
If you want to retain usage of the factory sights, go with the High Rings and a scope with an objective no larger than 33mm.
Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for their input.
I have a friend who is getting rid of his Talley mount & rings to put on the Leupold Quick release rings.
I am going to use the Talley mount until he sells it.
Thanks again
