They were my bullet of choice in my 45 cal. Sold it and bought a SS 50 cal. Have not tried them yet in this ( I hoped to find something less $ to shoot) but will soon. I have tries numerous sabots, conical, powder combinations in this gun and nothing groups (100 plus shots). Tried numerous "deep" cleanings and even lapped with JB's.

Maybe the DC's will work - I hope so.

I have an Omega .50 SS fluted
I tried 175 gr Duplex Dead Centers.- 82 Yards. 2" group with 110 gr weighed 2F pinnacle powder - MV ave 1870 FPS.

I have tried a lot of combo's , best luck with 250 gr shackwave. 80 gr weighed 2F pinnacle 82 yards. less than 1" groups. but only about 1500 fps with my chronograph. I hope to shoot some more over the holidays. the pinnacle powder seems about 300-400 fps slower than T7.

I've used the DC 340gr with good results. They are as accurate as the 300 SST with the same powder load but easier to load.

The #1 selling Dead Center for 1-28" twist rifles like yours is the 40/50 200 grain. Precision Bullets is now selling them for 57 cents apiece "delivered" with 240-pk bullet purchase until the end of the year.

I am looking real hard at purchasing either the 275 gr.Keith Nose or 240 gr. Extreme Elites in 240 pk.TheExtreme Elitesarearound 37cents "delivered". That's a "Best Buy" bulk bullet price anywhere you shop when you consider that the Extreme Elites are the Dead Centers without the poly-tip.
