How safe are CVA Kodiak Magnum Rifles?

How safe are CVA Kodiak Magnum Rifles?
I have a CVA Kodiak Pro Magnum 50 cal. rifle. I'm wondering if a load of
3 Tripple Seven or 3 American pioneer (150 equivalent) pellets, and 300
grain sabot bullets, would be safe in this rifle. I've heard pro's and con's
about it. Any info would be appreciated!

According to the pamphlet by Hodgdon Power, they do not I believe, endorse the use of three pellets. Yet many of the manufacturers claim three pellets are a valid load. I personally will not tell you to load three pellets, that will be something you have to decide. I think your best accuracy might come around 2 pellets.

Straight from your manual:
The manual says that your max saboted projectile weight is 300 grains.
It also says that the Kodiak Magnum will accept a maximun of 150gr pellets or 100grains loose FFG. (Not FFFG).

Note:
All CVA "Magnum" muzzleloaders are rated to shoot a maximum of 150
grain equivalent of pelletized powder. The maximum recommended amount of
loose powder (Blackpowder or approved substitute) is 100 grains by volume. Never
use any amount of smokeless powder.

The ONLY approved propellants for CVA muzzleloaders are as follows:
A.
Authentic FFG black powder
B.
Pyrodex brand blackpowder substitute (RS or Select) and Pyrodex Pellets
C.
Triple 7 FFG blackpowder substitute and Triple 7 pellets.
D.
Clean Shot FFG(Pioneer Powder Co.) brand blackpowder substitute and Clean
Shot Pelletized Powder.
E.
Clear Shot FFGbrand blackpowder substitute.

I would stick with 130 grains in pellet form or 100 grains of loose powder, as the manual states.....
I believe using a lower charge will give you better accuracy anyway, as a rule.....
