Default Baffaloe Ball-ets

How do you all like Baffaloe ball-ets? These are the ones I am talking about http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat20712&id=0020974 210223a&navCount=2&podId=0020974&paren tId=cat200005&navAction=push&catalogCode=X F&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat200 005. I think you can get hallow points to somewhere.

In the Buffalo Bullet line

stock # 54338 are the 338 grain .54 caliber hollow point hollow base ball-et
stock # 54310 are the 310 grain .54 caliber round nose hollow base ball-et

Both of them shoot real well out of my traditional rifles. I want to shoot them after hunting season at longer distances and see how well they hold.

Where can I find the hollow point if I want to try them? I think I will try the round nose.

http://www.shootnhunt.com/catalog/JM/black_powder/bullets_balls_sabots/buffalo_bullet_co/ that's where I buy all my Buffalo Bullets. Whether they have them in stock anymore I do not know. Last time they had them on sale ... you might say I stocked up.

I hear these shoot well in fast and slow twist barrels. I plan on trying some in my Lyman Great Plains Rifle with a 1:60" twist. Anyone shoot these in slow twist barrels?

I use the buffalos in my GPR and they shoot as well as the roundballs in my experience. I also like the Hornady PA conicals in the GPR, they are designed for the slower twist barrels.

The 310's shot very well out of my 1/60 GPR. They did better than round balls even. Kicked a lot more though. That GPR is still the only gun I've ever owned that drew blood on me.[:@]

I shoot some 405 grain Ball-ets out of my .58 caliber 1-70 twist Renegade with 90 grains of Goex 2f and the accuracy is exceptional. Also the down range thump is pretty good too.

Ball-et just shoot good!! I use the longer ones (heavier ones)in the fast twist barrels. And of course the light ones in my slow twist barrels... These really are a nice difference from the roundball.

The 245 grain Ball-et shoot real well out of my .50 caliber Traditions Hawkins with 1-66 twist barrel and they shoot well out of my T/C Hawkins with the 1-48 twist. The 270 grain ball-ets shoot real good out of my Knight Woverine II.

The 310 grain .54 caliber ball-ets shoot excellent out of my Lyman Flintlock. They will shoot exceptional groups.I have not tried the 338 grain ball-ets.

they seem like nice bullets...load nice...nice design....but my rifle absolutely HATES to fling any kind of bullet out of it......itsa roundball tack driver though.....i shot up 2 box of them bullets because i wanted to hunt with them so bad...tried everything......nothing worked to get my totally happy....they shot OK in my gun but not like a roundball.....they are the only conical that i can get down my barrel without swabbing between shots.....i shot both the round and hollow points......
