Default Regular Omega vs Omega Z5

What is the difference between the Omega .50 with synthetic stock/blue barrel and the Omega Z5 which also has synthetic stock/blue barrel? I can't find very accurate descriptions.

I bought the Z5 and love it. Took those fiber-optic sights off the gun and mounted a Nikon Buckmaster 3X9 on the one-piece Talley aluminum mount. Save the money and get the Z5 then do yourself a favor and spend the money you saved on a higher quality scope.

According to T/C Gunsmith's:
Sights, some machine finishing and lower cost assembly hardware are the only differences. The pivot block mechanism is press-pinned from what I understand where the standard Omega is allen-screw pinned allowing for dissassembly.

T/C issued the Z5 Omega to effectivelybreak belowthe $300 retail mark and is the version that is also sold in Walmart's.

Shootability-wise, the Z5 is identical to the regular Omega.

Some of the prices the posters are getting for them, $169.00 yakfisher picked on up for, that is fantastic. I need another rifle like another hole in the head but I would be hard pressed to pass one up for that price. Thank goodness our Wal Mart never has sales like that on their muzzleloader rifles.. They never seem to dicker with them, although some of the employees pick them up real reasonable...

There are three Walmarts close to me and only one carries any muzzleloading stuff or rifles. They never discount the rifles although they do on occasion discount some of the accessories. Never saw bullets or powder on discount only cleaning supplies etc. I agree the less than $200 prices are great. My stainless cost a lot more than that and it rarely shoots minute of angle. I have seen it on occasion but not as a regular thing although some of the problem is likely the operator.
