Some of THE best marital advice I ever got was given too me my my paternal grandfather (God rest his soul). He told me that with regards too women, "Son you gotta act like a lawyer, NEVER ask a question too which you don't already know the answer". So when it comes to guns, fishing stuff, boats, trucks, Harleys or mens toys in general I just NEVER ask my wife. I already know the answer, I take my punishment like a man and life goes on. Besides it aint like my wife and kids go without in the first place. My wife knows where her bread is buttered!!!

A gun will last a lifetime, an ass chewin (and possibly even a fryin pan upside the head) will only last a few days. After that she will find something else to moan, bitch and complain about. They always do!!!
RA

ps
And whats the worst she can do? Leave? Hell she aint the only one alive with one of "them thangs" down there. The street is FULL of em, there's plenty more just like her and they damn well know that too!!!

Roskoe, It's one of the stores in Albuquerque and since it's a clearance priced gun I'm not going to reveal which one. My wife actually asked me what the name of the gun was so maybe a christmas present is in the works. I just hope it's still there. I may go ahead and get the Bobcat with some of my petty cash, it's just too good a deal to pass up if only just for spare parts. The Lyman will have to wait for now, I kind of want to build it myself and maybe get both the GPR and GPH barrels.

Cayugad, I did load up on some of the bargans. 2 boxes each of 200gr and 250gr Shockwaves ($5), 2 packs of the Rem 209 cleanbore primers ($3.50), 2 pounds of 777 2F ($15), and an extra #11 capper, TC powder measure, accessory pack with brush mop patchworm and bullet puller, also a couple of the long ramrods. BTW, the Flint River brand that they have at the local WalMart seems to be made by TC. The powder measure I bought was in a Flint River package but had a TC logo on it. Anyone know anything about this?

As for my wife, after almost 18 years of marriage I'm not in any hurry to get rid of her nor break in a new one. She would get over it I'm sure but then again she is a trained medical professional and knows how to use a scappel and can shoot pretty well too. She's bought me a gun or two for christmas in the past so she's not against me having my toys, she just questions why I need so many. I just say its for the kids, but hey, it works for the liberals.

Just tell her you will eat bologna sandwiches for a week and buy the Bobcat.

The Omega is a no brainer I am going to start casing all the Walmarts around for that deal. I don't give a crap what the wife thinks. (well of course I do)

I will just hide all the car tools first

I went back to the Walmart with the Omega today in hopes that I could put it on layaway. The gun was still there but someone had put it on hold till this evening. I just got a call from the store and the other person just picked it up. I guess this one just wasn't meant to be. So now I have to decide if I want to check the other stores in town or stay away from them.

They did have a Kodiak blue/camofor $154 and an Optima blk/nic for $125. I do like the way both of those fit me even better than the Omega but I sure like the Omega's quality.

You dummy. ALWAYS put it on lay-away. You can always let it go later after you think about it. Nice thing about lay-away also, payments are low enough that Mama doesn't even know it's happening.

I'm disappointed in you. It is very un-american of you to weigh your expenses. Just max out the credit cards or get a 2nd mortguage!

Yeah, I know, I'm down to 1 mortgage, 1 CC and no car payments. I've been agressivly trying to get compleatly out of debt so I can afford to retire and hunt and fish when I want to. How un-american of me. I'm so ashamed.

I hate to admit it but I checked the other Walmart out with the Bobcat, it was gone too. The Lyman GPH was still there, it was a custom order, not something they would normally carry. I asked the guy if they would consider a lower price. They have it at $345 right now but I don't need it that bad. I can get a GPR kit locally for $275 and would rather build it myselfand savethe difference. The savings will pay for half of the second GPH barrel and I can customize it. If, on the other hand, I can get it for $300 or less it might not be a bad idea to buy it and then get the GPR barrel.

I do have a couple more Walmarts to check, Albuquerque has something like 6 super centers and 1 regular store. I'm also leaving on my trip on sunday and will be passing by at lease a dozen Walmarts along the way so maybe I'll get lucky again. We'll see.

BTW, thanks Highpower for letting me know what I am.
