Default Got a a spike!

Got into position on the ground yesterday about 15 minutes before sunrise out at Tosohatchee WMA in Florida.I sprayed some Trail's End #307 and about 15 minutes after sunrise I saw some feet sticking through the palmettos. He was eyeballin' me and I was just hoping he would write me off long enough for a shot. He started walkin at a good pace broadside at about 15 yds in and out of palmettos. I could see he just had to clear one more Oak tree and I'd have a clear shot. He stepped out and I squeezed off the Muzzleloader. When the smoke finally cleared I saw a white belly and feet stickin up. TOSO was good to me again. He was a year and a half and weighed 130!

Congratulations on taking the spike!! What kind of rifle and load did you hit him with? That must have had your heart pounding with him being that close and almost busting you!!

way to go!

A traditions muzzle loader, with 100 gr. of American Pioneer powder, and a 295 gr. powerbelt bullet. It sure did the trick!!

I'm sure that little buck never knew what hit it with that charge, projectile and shot placement. Again, congratulations!

Did you recover the bullet, or get a complete pass through?
