Default 10 times today

Well today was a milestone day at the range with my new flintlock. For the first time I loaded it 10 times and 10 times it shot on the first try; no mis-fires, hang fires, nothing. It just shot as sweet as could be.

Since this is my first ML this isdefinatly a big deal. It wouldn't have happened without the help of you guys, especially you Cayugad.

Thank you all for giving so freely of your knowledge to an ML newbie.

I'm glad to hear that the flintlock is behaving and most of all you're having fun shooting it. That's what it is all about. Just be sure to put a new flint in the jaws before you go hunting. Unless you are able to knap the flint nice and sharp. That way when you need that all important shot, you have a better chance of ignition.

I have no skill at knapping although I have tried on a number of flints. I put a new one in. Then I am sure the rifle will go off...

Good luck with your rifle...

ElDequello: yes it is a lot of fun. And now I get to tweak it to make it shoot upside down.

Cayugad: I tried your ISO/Windshield Washer cleaning solution. It worked great. My only concern is leaving that stuff on the fingers for a long period of time. I like to stay at the range for a long time-go figure!
