Encore 45 or 50 cal.
Can anyone with personal experience tell me if they are having problems with the 45 cal. encore b.p. rifle. Do you know the effective range of 45 and 50 cal. Best loads and best place to buy.

I can only tell you the .45 seems to be MUCH more picky about loads and I've only found one conical that will shoot well (and it's a modified mold and a home cast bullet). The .50 Encores seem to shoot a wide variety of saboted rounds and conicals well. The rapid twist of the .45 combined with the rifling design makes the gun very choosey.
