Well I have another question about a muzzleloader, I am on a budget so a T/C or a knight are just to expensive in my neck of the woods. I have looked at a few that have intrested me. the next one I was wondering about is called a Rossi(50cal) I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this model, also I know with a rifle having a nickel coloured barrel is not a big deal but when you have to get closer is it more of a disadvantage than a blued barrel?

Almost any of the modern inline rifles are accurate to 100 yards once you find the right powder bullet combination. I saw a Rossi at a gun show a while back. To be honest I was not impressed with the rifle that much. The stock to barrel fit could have been better and I did not like the trigger. It had a lot of creep to it before it actually released the hammer. Perhaps I was just unlucky and saw a bad one.
If your on a tight budget at this time, I might suggesta NEF Sidekick. They are $159.00 at Cabela's on line. They have a good reputation for out of the box accuracy and dependability. I used to recommend some of the auction sites for a good deal on rifles but after seeing some of the prices they are getting or should I say demanding for their used rifles is hard to believe...
