I'll hunting the rifle season with the Muzzy in KS. Our season starts the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving. I've been on a good run the last few years but you never know for sure. I'll give it a good go, that's all I can promise. I'll keep you updated.

Is that how it works in Virginia with buck tags? If true they need to change that law. It would be pretty tough to see those little points no matter how close they are. In MN its only a legal buck if 1 of the spikes are over 3 inches long. If not you can throw your doe tag on it if you have one.

Definitely considered a buck. If any portion of the antler is sticking through the skin, you gotta tag it as a buck. Here is the guide: http://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting...ns/antlers.pdf
This is the second time in a row I've shot a buck thinking it was a doe. I should have learned my lesson the first time, so this will be very good reminder to check and double check if I want to keep my buck tags. We get three buck tags in this area of VA, so it really isn't a big deal from that perspective.
