Although it's not my style of hunting, I do respect those who practice and have a system in place for long range shooting. They are based in Wyoming and John Burns, one of the hosts, is a custom rifle builder and long range shooting instructor and the others seem to be pretty knowledgeable. I know it's just TV and as such is meant to entertain but I do like this show. I don't believe that people should sight in their rifle at the range and then go out and start banging away at extreme ranges but at least they have a system in place for doing so. Like I said, IT'S NOT MY STYLE OF HUNTING but they seem to be proficient at it. Here is the link to their website...

Frankly I think the hunting community could do without that type of show. If they want to showcase their long range shooting skills there are other ways to do it without causing undue pain and suffering to our wildlife. I'm assuming of course that they wound a significant percentage and perhaps fail to retrieve another significant percentage. Not only that but it denegrates the traditional woodsmanship skills and in my opinion one of the great joys of hunting: a great stalk.
