Default RE: Resident vs. Nonresident

Nemont well said. Easterner's have no idea how difficult it is to make a living in this state. I packed up and moved out here to be close to the mountains and the animals that dwell in them, and the cost has been high. I don't see non-resident donating countless hours and money for herd maintainence. I don't see NR's picking up trash along the mountain roads. I don't see NR's cutting fallen trees and moving boulders of the roads for access. Montana FWP manages the wildlife population and they are funding primarily by local residents. Only a portion of Montana's land is federal, the rest is state and private. When an NR gets lost in the mountians it is the local search and rescue that comes and bails them out. The price of living here is quite high, and many can barely afford to get by. The price is paid, however, because we love our local area. You NR who want to whine about tag cost, pick up and move out here like I did, then you'll have some real cost to pay.
