Hi guys-

My group is gonna try a new area on our own this year in Central Idaho during the first rifle season.
What are some general tips that you would reccommend to a somewhat novice elk hunter. We plan on getting out there a day or two early, as to possibly locate some elk before season.

Find out which pass they are usin' between drainages, the boss cow has favorites, and the herd will use 'em until theres a change in lead cows. Camp out on one. Let the other hunters move 'em.
