I've been a life member for about 10 years, and I wish I never did. Its a joke, they send me these stupid order forms to buy gear bags that I can buy alot cheaper then what they want for it. As far as testing products, they sent me hand warmers, bug spray, and 1 box of shotgun slugs, big deal. Send me a firearm, a new bow, or a treestand. The magazine is ok, its not great.

I was a member for one year. I thought the magazine was a waste of time/money. I live & hunt in Montana. I hunt elk 95% of the time. You just about have to beat me to make me shoot a deer. IMHO most articles in there magazine were written for the eastern deer & turkey hunter.

I have tested knives, blinds, survival gear, feet warmers, target markers, etc. Good luck.

Well I guess if you are satisfied with reading the magazine and testing some gadgets then its ok for you.

I guess they do offer some discount hunts, but what is the quality of those hunts,my experience is that you pretty much get what you pay for.

On the other hand the orginizations that I mentioned, the NRA,RMEF,NWTF,DU &TU.
also have magazines, gear offers, recommended outfitters, contest and giveaways etc.

They are NON PROFIT and do a heap of things for the betterment of hunting and fishing.
I joined those orginizations because of what they do for the sport of hunting and fishing, not so much as what they do for me personally.

The benifits they perform are for everyone including myself,so I believe that in the long run the benifits they give, far outway the benifits the so called clubs offer.
Just my opinion and I do respect the opinions and beliefs of others.

Join any thing you feel comfortable with, time will tell if you made the right choice.

Thanks a ton for all the feedback.

Based on the number and thoughtfulness of all the processes, it definately appears that regardless of the quality of the material, this group's marketing department is getting the right names and addresses of their target market.

Oh well, I think for no other reason than the fact that my next big game hunting trip is not until early Sept and there is nothing else that I can think about other than hunting; i will give this a try.

Larry, I couldn't agree with you more regarding the quality of the groups you mention.

Anycase, thanks again everybody for the input... I really appreciated it.
