With the out of state money comes property purchases as well. Land has sky rocketed here. Bob how many $ 400,000+ homes are being built here? You know damn well that ain't the locals building them. Were at the bottom of the barrell in per capita earnings. 11% unemployment in Ravalli County with an average household income of $22,000 annually. So how are we building all these new houses? As you know I'm a GC here and the majority of my clients are out of staters with money to burn. This area is quickly becoming the playground of the rich liberal. The local will live in trailers and shacks on the outskirts of town and drive in to perform services for the wealthy, you know, the services that pay 5.25/hour. When is the last time anybody around here got permission to hunt private property? It's disgusting to be out hunting and see a big bull laying out in the field on some private ranch that a Kalifornian tree hugger bought.[:@][:@]

I think it is also a bad deal to give in to the pressure on this issue, but money talks and commen sence walks.

Wyoming has gone through a lot of the same crap in the past around Jackson Hole-man I would hate to see Montana go down the drain that way. Especially where they only live there off and on.
