Montana Archery BUll (picture)
This is my buddies bull that he killed on Sept 27 on public land. A fourty yard shot put this bull down, only running 70 yards after hit. Green score of 328. Not bad for his first archery elk.

MTElkSniper, say congrats to your hunting partner as that is a nice bull indeed. How is the hunting going out there?? I'm heading to eastern side of MT on the 10th and can't wait. I'm hoping it gets cold enough to snow instead of rain as that Montana gumbo is no fun!!

I dont know how the hunting is out there first hand, due to the factor that i am in Iraq right now. But my buddy also took a mule deer opening day of rifle. My father has a tag for elk over there for the second time. But has not taken his bull yet. He is looking for a big boy. I have not heard to to many nice ones coming out of there this year. One came out that was 390. That was about it for big. Good luck.
