Default Who is for / against USO?

I hope the sons of buckets (USO) burn in hades! The crap they caused in arizona is wrong and now they are trying to get other states to follow suit (Montana). I am afraid its the beginning of the end of hunting for states like Arizona. It will be almost impossible for a resident of Arizona to draw a tag now that the new ruling has passed. Groups like PETA can now attack again, to ban hunting like they did a few years ago in Arizona, but were defeated in the voting booth. But my fear is on the next fight the locals (hunters), will not fight because their mentality will be, "Who cares because I can not draw a tag and hunt anyway." I myself have called / e-mailed everyone who I know supports USO and told them I will boycott them. This is the least I can do. If anyone else has any ideas please let me know! Thanks just my 2 cents.

Thanks for your help. It looks like their suit was based on their business of transporting hides, horns, meat and ivories across state lines so our people will try to get the transportation outlawed and get around the basis for the suit. That or we will take the cost of non-res tags to sky high prices and then only USO customers can afford them. This is truly a can of worms and may end up screwing the average non-res hunter who is just waiting to get lucky on a tag. There is no way we will allow an outfitter to take away our right to hunt. We already have people who will know the location of USO base camps and are planning a real noisy campout within a few feet of each. Hopefully there won't be any USO boys dumb enough to pull any stunts. This one will get ugly before it is fixed. The 9th district court is a liberal PETA kissing bunch of pukes.[:@]

Glad to know life will be miserable for USO this year. If the law stays in effect it'd be nice to know USO wouldn't profit from it. I talked to Chritensen arms and they are against USO' so its starting w/ a little help this snowball can become a avalanche w/ USO a$$####'s burried under it.

Against. He Taulman is a joke and so is their cash cow drawing system. Then again you have butth*les like Bill Jordan of Realtree that puts in a nice word about them on just about every show.

I have personaly emailed every sponsor of uso outfitters and told them that i and everybody i know will boycott them.Since then ive received emails back from primos and realtree saying there pulling there sponsorship.Ive also received a email from jim zumbo and im not sure how i feel about his reply even though he says that he wont use his arizona tag this year.i then emailed everybody involved with jim zumbo and told them as long as hes involved with uso i'll boycott them as well.
I have a feeling that this is going to get much worse before it ever gets any better.Yes my chances of hunting in arizona are much better but what about when they come to utah.We need to stick togother and help are fellow arizona hunters.

Agreed utahhntr. I for one am against USO and what they are trying to do. Good luck to Arizona and Montana looks to be in the crosshairs next. I just hope Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado are taking notes because we may be next. I think its good to give out some tags to non-res's but the majority should stay in each prospective state. The animals belong to the STATE not the entire nation.

I agree with all that has been said here. I am against USO and anyone who still works with them. When I contacted Crooked Horn to say that I would be boycotting them they let me know that they were pulling out as sponsors of USO as well. When I called Knight Guns I had to leave a message. Miraculously they called me back!! What they did say was that only about 12 people have contacted them regarding this issue and I was the first to actually call and complain. When I told them that I would NEVER support their business as long as they were in cahoots with USO they said that they would be looking into what is going on and would make a decision that is "best" for the company. I just hope it's against USO. I aggree when it's said that we need to "stand up" for our fellow hunters. If it can happen in AZ it can happen ANYWHERE!!!

I am totally against the USO organization. They are in this for one reason only $$$$$$.
They don't care about the fact that you or anyone else lives in an area for many reasons, not the least of which is the quality of hunting that we enjoy here in the west. They cater to very wealthy clients that money is not an object to. I think if these lawsuits continue to fall in the favor of the USO and its constituents we are seeing the beginning of the end of hunting as we know it. The next step will be the purchase of all the hunting rights they can get they're greedy little palms on from the private individual so that the only places left to hunt will be so crowded that a burrowed rat won't be safe. As a result of this, general hunts where they still exist will go away and try and draw a tag for your favorite area with non-resident caps lifted and everyone being able to apply with a credit card[:@]

I think we need to keep non-resident caps in the west (and the rest of the nation for that matter) to maintain a certain quality of hunting experience for the families of people that choose to live in these areas. Give the non-residents an opportunity, but let the people that eat, drink and breath the place a chance to enjoy it.

Up until this issue in Arizona came to light, I never really gave any thought to USO. I am still not certain how the whole cituation came about, whether it was from the outfitters themselves or from the clients of USO. I am, however, against what has been decided in the courts. I feel that this will open up the doors to all of the other western states' draw systems, making it even harder for a resident to draw in select areas to hunt.

I am against USO.
I look at it this way. Arizona residents spend 95% or more of there total income in the state of arizona. They pay arizona's state, local & sales tax 365-days a year. The arizona resident is the backbone of the state. I am happy as a non-resident to have a shot a 10% of the tags.

What do you guys think about Arizona giving non-residents there own season? You could have a non-resident bulls & bucks only elk & deer season? I would run the season from april 1st. to april 15th.
