While I do enjoy bow hunting. (six extra weeks of season for me
) If I had to choose a weapon? I would throw the bow & arrows in the trash & rifle hunt all the way.
Bow season is great because I like to get close to rutting bull elk. Rifle season is great because if conditions are perfect I can kill that same bull elk at 400-yards. My maximum bow range is 35-yards.
