i think i would have to go after a nice bull elk. Because i think everyone forgets the true meaning of a trophy. My personal opinion is a animal that you take out it's natural habit with a bow or a tradional muzzleloader, and the shot is then 20 yards away then that is a true trophy in my books.

I'm a whitetail hunter, but I think I'd pick an Elk first (just reintroduced them to Ontario a few years ago and the first hunt is still a number of years away). I get goosebumps listening to a bull respond to a call on TV and can only imagine what it's like in real life!

Note: Under BigGameHunting.com, still only 2 out of 59 turned down the scenario saying their "home area" hunting was too precious to miss out on for one year.
