Hello Everyone,
I am a new hunter in California. I got my license and will buy my deer tags for this year. Most probably for unrestricted zone A ,b . I am looking for a hunting group or a mentor or a group to go with them for my first hunt . I am planning to hunt using crossbow.
Please contact me.
Thank you

I live around X7, but I hunt D3/D4. I haven't been to A or B. But I will say, look for areas that have a mix of open fields and trees, with food and water sources. Getting out in the woods and scouting will help. Look for droppings and tracks. I know it's hot out there in the summer. If you get a day or two of unusually cold weather, that can be a good time to scout.

They've already had the big game drawing. Here's a list of tags left.
