I’ve never specifically hunted Sheep or Goats, but I have never heard the phrase “bagging a nanny” before. I would comment that I assume it is not a permeating phrase, but possibly an individual or regional colloquialism. I’d also suggest its use by someone on the outside looking in will sound disingenuous and inauthentic, so I wouldn’t personally adopt the phrase. Coming off as falsely representing yourself by forcing an unnatural phrase across your tongue is a great way to ruin interest from those hunters with actual experience. Really can’t sound smarter or more experienced than you really are without being obviously deceitful.

I’m not a huge fan of the now-old-world term “bagging” in general, so this wouldn’t be integral to my vernacular even if I DID commonly hunt sheep (which aren’t “nanny” anyway) or goats, even females.

I have decided the OP is not worth responding to any further. Y'all do as you wish but I will not waste any more time bantering with him or trying to answer the really dumb questions this member puts forth. The OP is not a hunter, has never been a hunter and will never be a hunter. He is looking for attention and he will have to look elsewhere because I for one will no longer indulge him.

With that, I leave this thread for ever.

Ok, I give up. I will craft no more threads with cheap humor here from now on. Somebody here doesn't think I'm funny. Only dead serious stuff from me from hereon, truce? This flags character doesn't know me to judge me about being a hunter, however. What is a HUNTER to flags anyway?

Probably someone that hunts more than they talk about it.
