Default The hazards of wild game hunting in Afghanistan...

"Did Airstrike Kill Taliban Mastermind or Civilians?"

"Kabul, Afghanistan --- Afghanistan's intelligence agency said on Wednesday that the mastermind of a bloody attack on the agency's base this week had been killed in an airstrike, but residents and local officials in the area said the airstrike had in fact targeted a group of hunters on a hilltop."

quote: NYT's INTERNATIONAL Thursday, January 24, 2019

Has anybody taken a shot at wild game hunting in Afghanistan and what type of huntable wild game critters do they have?

Years ago in Outdoor Life there were articles about hunting exotic wild sheep in Afghanistan. If these hunters were up high, that's what they were probably after.

I've heard about some allied combatants over in Afghanistan did some live grenade fishing in a river...with excellent results.

Here's the NYT's link of the disputed airstrike report that was reported to have happened in Wardak Province.--- where "Extortion 17" happened

Also...here's the link to a list of the wild critters in Afghanistan:

And from time to time the Air Force hunts Taliban in the Mountains too.
With some AMAZING results.
