Default CO Deer Draw

CO deer results posted yesterday. I got my 2nd choice tag. It is the season choice tag for whitetails in unit 101 and 102. Pretty good tag for me to have since I can hunt any of the seasons I want to and I have access to a really good piece of private land in unit 102.

Yeah but you have very few WTs there. My tag is for Yuma County and they have lots of them there.

True there aren't many and the DOW doesn't want any. It's the reason the tag is so easy to get. We can even buy two tags and the tag is good for a whole month. They don't want the whitetails breeding with the muley's. It's pretty much private land down by the Arkansas River. I have two landowners that will let me hunt their land along the river. I haven't tried it yet. Dec is kind of cold. I like Sept in the mountains better but so does everybody else. It takes some serious hiking to find solitude.

No tags for us this year. DOW reduced the number of tags in my unit for some strange reason. Kind of bizarre because there are so many deer. Oh well, chasing elk again.

Is that an either sex tag? Couple more weeks until the Wyoming draw... if I don't draw Wyoming I'll take a few days to head south and hunt piggies. I'm excited either way
