This has been a late year for antlers falling off the elk in the areas I frequent, saw 5 bulls , 1 a good size animal with their racks still intact couple weeks ago, they have since lost them, but it was a month or so later then usual, just saw 2 spikes with both antlers this past Monday, nature always throws you a curve ball....

My brother in law messaged me from Jackson Hole asking why the elk still had their antlers...that was earlier this week. So, a bit late but there's probably a reason for it.

Not elk,

But I saw a 6 point hard racked buck in North East Ohio two weeks ago. I've seen several with velvet bumps already as well.
