After looking at this thread and thinking for awhile I decided to call my wife and ask her. She is Korean, as in born and raised there. She said there are a few elk in a small area of South Korea (Sorak Mountain) but are very rare and seldom seen. However the pictured elk is not in Korea. If I am not mistaken that picture is out of an old issue of Field and Stream.

I have to call bull@#$% too. I was in Korea. 1/503. I was on " The Fence" quite frequently. I never saw an elk, or elk sign. I talked to a friend who has been there for several years and he laughed at the idea. Also if you really were there KB you would know that it is not called the " DMZ" anymore. It is the DML (Demarkation Line) or to the soldiers who are or have been there it is simply known as " The Fence" . If you want to say you are in the Army then go down to your local recruiter and sign up. Then go to Sniper School and get the title legitimately. If you think you feel special by passing yourself off as a Soldier and Sniper, it doesn' t even compare to how it fells to actually be one for real.
