Help:probably going to Idaho next fall

well, i' ve talked my dad into taking me to Idaho next fall for mule deer and antelope. what units are good for both species? what type of weather and terrain wil i possibly be looking at? alot of public land? how much for leases?

You didn' t specify bow or rifle, etc. Idaho has no general rifle season for antelope. THe only general season for antelope is bow only. Everything else are controlled hunts whick you have to draw for. So, if you' re looking for a rifle hunt, I' d go to Wyoming...plus, there are more over there. I drew this year for a doe tag and filled it 3 hours into opening morning, but it was on private land I had permission to hunt on.
As for deer, there is plenty of space to hunt for them here. The succes is down a bit due to a few dry years back to back. The papers are reporting that it is picking up a bit with the cooler temps, but still slower than mornal.
Of course, this is only if you are not hunting with a guide. If you do, you probably have a better chance at both.
