Samonella,

Very nice man cave. You have some great trophies there. I've always dreamed of hunting the big bears, and every year I have a wolf tag in my pocket that I need to hunt more seriously.

jerry d,

I shot that mulie buck in the early 70's when I lived in NW Colorado. He was also my first attempt at home taxidermy, and was one of my first mounts. All my other mounts were done by professionals.

Muley Hunter,

Anyone can buy a truck. I've had several. They're basically a tool to get a job done, and are easily replaced. Most of my mounts were hard earned, and are memories that I will enjoy the rest of my life.

We all lead our lives in a different ways with different values. I was brought up different than you.

I know anybody can buy a truck. Just like anybody can have an animal mounted. We all spend our money in ways that please us. At least I do. I don't spend it to please others.

If you do it for just the memories. Why would you post it on a public forum?

Memories are personal. It's something you keep for yourself.

Fortunately, a part of human nature. :-)

Thank you.

As a matter of fact, I sold a brand new Ford F350 4x4 so I could go on my Kodiak Brown Bear hunt.
I drove a worn out old Toyota Camry for a couple of years and brown bagged my lunches in order to afford that once in a lifetime adventure.

Best decision I ever made.

Thanks Buffy, your room is great too, I love the location of your place.

I did the same type of thing when I made a trip to Cameroon. I always wanted to hunt northwest Africa and I always wanted a big Roan Antelope. So I sold a good truck and drove an old beat up Ranger and went on the hunt. This is the Roan I ended up with:

That's me on the left. I also got a good Western Hartebeest:

An Oribi

A really good Nogerian Bhor Reedbuck

And a big Olive Baboon.

Life is a collection of memoris and experiences. I'll trade those for a truck anyday.

My memories are mine, but I can use a new truck. My Jeep is getting pretty beat up.
