Sunberry is not far from where we hunt. We're up in Sullivan County. About 45 minutes north of Bloomsburg.

When the weather gets better, try the water fall trail at Ricketts Glen.

Thanks! I may just very well do that, it would do me good to get out for a while. My wife maybe would go with me, My old dove shooting buddy's I know would not let me go by myself. Hunting bear? they are going to think I've lost my mind.

But you only go around once I want to do something different besides a deer hunt. I have never had to deer hunt, but my freezer has some back strap and sausage all year long. Sometimes a buck head with 8 or more antlers finds it's way in my freezers also. I think I have more freezer room than anyone around.

Where we hunt, you can shoot bear the first week of rifle buck. A bunch of us get bear tags just in case. We didn't set out to shoot a bear this year, but ended up with one on the pole anyway.

I don't trust a white tail during there rutting seasons, I do not trust a bear any time. Mail or female with young, If there was a tree near by, If It were claimable. I'd drop the shot and climb the tree with my pistol firing, a couple round's in the dirt to make her run. I know they are light enough to clime a tree. If she kept coming I would have to kill her, said her cubs would starve.

Hopefully during breeding season there is no bear hunting allowed. As you know already the shot gun with slugs is my favorite gun to have on any shoot. If I only had a pistol and some one broke in my house, and we both were having a stand off. I would be the one to drop my pistol.

But never would I take my eyes off of him, even if he said turn around, I'd never turn around or take my eyes off his eyes. It takes something to look a man in his eyes and pull a trigger. I don't want to ever have to find out.
