Default Who is into calling Spring Bears?

Its time to get out there and get into the woods! I love to hunt and film in the spring! Last year I made several spring turkey video's and a predator calling spring bear video! It was wild to say the least! I have had success calling spring bears and have had some close encounters! Here is the question? Most of the bears I call I can get into gun range or I can get them to break cover and look. But I am having trouble getting them to come into good camera range! Meaning that 100yd or less! They seem to be hanging up or not finishing well! Maybe that is the nature of the beast! Does anybody have any little trick that they use that might help?

Try a decoy.

I assume you've tried changing out calls when they hang up... I agree that a decoy may help.

I admit I haven't tried a decoy! Has anyone used a decoy and what would they suggest?
In my minds eye a fawn but would I need movement? Does anyone have experience with decoys and bears! I have an eight day trip coming up in mid May! I called in two for video last year but the finishing them has been tough! Any help would be appreciated!

The elk set up makes sense! Thanks for that Advice! I have been mouth calling mainly! Maybe an electronic set up behind would help!

Default calling bears

I have a six day bear hunt planned hunt in a few weeks. I would love to try calling in a few beers along wth my spot and stalk. Can you give me any pointers as to what you have tried so far and had some success? I know that is not why you posted but I would appreciate anything you can tell me.
