Question Two bucks during one season?

Are there any places where you can get two tags to shoot two bucks during a single season? I know you can shoot two bucks on Anticosti Island, but I was thinking more of a DIY type hunt.

More specifically, are there places where both whitetails and mulies live where you can take one of each? Maybe hunting close to a state border and hunting two states, but I was curious in a single state if that is possible?

Thanks, Rob

It would help to know what state you're talking about.

That's is the question I am asking, are there states which allow two bucks to be taken in a single season (such as a rifle season or a archery season) not a single year. If so, what are the states? Many places allow a buck and a doe but I haven't seen many that allow two bucks.

So WV and VA will allow more than one buck in a season (not a year)?

It can be done in Colorado with A, B, and C licences.

I never bother. My freezer isn't that big.

Texas: 5 whitetail total. Up to 3 bucks. Mule deer: 2 deer, 1 buck. Can kill a whitetail and a mule deer on some ranches in west Texas. Up to 4 turkeys.

Bow season the month of October. Gun season from the first weekend in November to the first weekend in Jan. Just have to find a place to hunt since 95% of hunting is on private land.

IL, for residents and non-residents alike.

I wouldn't mind seeing non-residents limited to 1 buck though, as well as residents having to earn a 2nd buck tag by taking a doe to earn that 2nd buck tag.

AK you can take up to 3 bucks some areas/years I believe.

not sure about the muley/whitetail, maybe in MT? but I suspect you'd have to find two places to go for each....or a ranch with the right setup to take one of each...

Oklahoma residents can shoot two bucks. Not sure about non-residents thought. There are both mule deer and whitetail in the panhandle.
